Virginia City: Wards 1, 2 and 3 Commencing at the summit of the divide between Hinch and Garden ** and running in an easterly direction to the summit of the Black Butte Mountain; thence in a northerly direction to the summit of Old Baldy Mountain; thence along the summit of the divide between Alder Gulch and the Madison river to a point opposite the head of Granite Creek, thence along the summit of the ridge between Granite and California Gulches to the mouth of Alder Gulch Canyon; thence in a **therly direction to the head of ** creek, and thence in a westerly direction to the mouth of the lower Ruby Canyon; thence to the place of beginning, including the Upper Ruby river and tributaries and Alder Gulch and tributaries. |
