Jesse M. Fant was born 24 Feb 1885, Limestone County, Texas, 
the son of Mary A. Barber and W. H. Fant, who were married 
13 March 1882. Jesse was left an orphan at a very young age.

Jesse was raised by his uncle, Robert T. Barber, and his 
grandfather, Silas H. Barber.
