ABOUT JUDITH BASIN COUNTY:

Judith Basin County was formed of area taken from western Fergus and eastern Cascade 
counties on December 10, 1920.  The county is named after the Judith River, which 
Meriwether Lewis named in 1805 for his cousin, Judith Hancock.
