MO was very hard to read due to tape and ink spilled on pages. Written on the last page of District 24 by J. Hooper. I copied as it was written, misspelled words and all. "I hearby certify that I have this day completed the Enumution of the district assigned to me and that the return have been duty and truthfully made in accordance with Law and my oath of Office. J. Hooper June 17th 1880 In many instances it was impossible to get information accusary to fill columns 25 and 26 for instance to go to a house and no one home and get the information from the neighbor and they could not give the neccisary infirmation and the colored folks nine times out of ten could not tell where their parents were born. South part of Canton Township starts on page 56 A and goes to page 60A. Page 55B, 57C and 60B were left blank by the Enumerator. Some of the children ages are listed as 2/3, 1/5 and ¾. ************************************************************************************* ED29 notes: Town of Monticello starts on page 100A and goes to page 101B. Pages 109D to 111A are out of order. ************************************************************************************* ED32 notes: Entered for daughter is "D". The Village of LaBelle starts at page 141B to page 144D. Lewistown starts on page 155B to page 156D. Page 143C ends with dwelling and family 109/110 ... Page 144D starts with 100/101 and goes to 106/107 then to 273/276. Some times entered are brackets ( ). I can only guess why this was done. It may be so that the birth places wouldn't have to be written again. On page 154C, dweling and family numbers are out of order. Either they are skipped or are written in twice.
