the census lists the spelling of the surname Szymanski as Scymanski.

In the 1930 census, the Szymanski household consisted of:
Vincent (head) 48, Married-at-age-23, born in Poland
Mary (wife) 46, Married-at-age-21, born in Poland
Their eight children were born in Michigan

According to the 1905 Marriage Record document that I have, my grandfather 
Vincent Szymanski was 24 and my grandmother Mary was 22 when they were married.

My grandfather's certificate of Naturalization in 1923, lists his age as 42. 

My grandmother's Birth and Baptismal certificate lists her year of birth as 1883.

the census lists the spelling of the surname Szymanski as Szymaski.
