Transcriber's Comments Text File
You may want to write a comments file to be uploaded along with your transcription. If you do, put your general comments on a separate worksheet (if your spreadsheet has the ability to do multiple worksheets), or write it using your wordprocessor and save it as "text", or use the Notepad program that comes with Windows. The comments file could include any unusual things you found on your census, such as:

Submitting Your Transcription Send an E-Mail message with your transcription file attached to the email address listed in the box below. The transcription file will either be a .DBF (if you are using CART) or a spreadsheet file (if you are using a template). If you have created a separate transcriber's notes text file attach it to the email, too. If you have zip software, you may want to zip your transcribed file(s) to shorten the time it takes to send the email with files attached.
